Apprentice Surveying Assistant - Milton Keynes

Description

• Conducting measured surveys
• Providing CAD support
• Shadowing and assisting in providing professional work to clients (e.g. schedules of dilapidations, pre-acquisition surveys, party wall awards, defect diagnosis, planned preventative maintenance reports, fire insurance valuations, disability audits, schedules of condition).
• Shadowing and assisting on a range of building surveying instructions on a variety of commercial properties (e.g offices, retail and industrial).
• Shadowing and assisting on servicing instructions (typically split about 50:50 between professional work and project work).
• Assisting with co-ordination of portfolio instructions and undertaking other duties as may be reasonably required.

Requirements

• You have a passion for the built environment and building surveying.
• An equivalent qualification; or
• Strong verbal, written and numerical skills.
• Excellent time management and organisation skills
• Business Development and client care awareness.
• Able to work within a team and independently.
• A current RICS Associate qualification; or
• Completed an Advanced Apprenticeship in Surveying or an Advanced Apprenticeship in Construction Technical through which a Construction and Built Environment Diploma with a minimum DD profile was obtained or through which a Construction and Built Environment Extended Diploma with a minimum MMM profile was obtained; or
• You’re highly organised and able to multitask.
• 96 UCAS tariff points (2017 UCAS Tariff) or an equivalent level, through recognised qualifications not included in the UCAS tariff; or
• Flexible and able work under pressure.
• Good telephone manner
• You’re able to build relationships at all levels, and an awareness of client care.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• You’re professional, self-motivated, enthusiastic, proactive, able to prioritise and multi-task with a can-do attitude.
• Successfully completed the UCEM BSc Access Module
