Your Role: Work with a team of architects in bringing design dreams to life as a Gensler Technical Designer. You will produce technical documentation and communicate project progress with the lead architect and other team members to ensure projects exceed client expectations.
In this position you will partner with the Project Architect or Technical Director to create accurate technical and contract documents for construction. You will coordinate the project team to embed design intent into construction documentation, and you will support construction administration by evaluating bids, conducting site visits, addressing technical issues, and maintaining quality control.
Collaboration extends to consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers, and regulatory agencies to achieve overall project objectives. You will also use 3D software renderings to clearly convey design concepts.
Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program and possess 5–8 years of professional experience. Required expertise includes knowledge of building codes, zoning, materials, specifications, and construction techniques, as well as the ability to travel for field observations. Experience in construction document preparation and administration, proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and other 3D modeling tools, and LEED accreditation (preferred) are also needed. A PDF portfolio and résumé are required for consideration.
The base salary is estimated between $77k‑$88k, plus bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.
