NV5 is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer II to develop plans, specifications and reports on several concurrent projects with supervision from senior engineers. They will perform assignments designed to develop professional engineering work, knowledge, and abilities, requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related engineering tasks.
The ideal candidate will have 4-7 years of engineering experience for mechanical hvac and plumbing system. PE License is not required.
- Knowledge of engineering Software is a plus.
- Pass fundamentals of engineering examination (EIT).
- Must be moderately proficient in the operation of a computer, Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Outlook.
- Within mechanical, is able to design and layout routine portions of a project by Revit or AutoCAD. Is proficient in Revit and AutoCAD and able to draft the design for her or himself.
- Must be proficient in Revit.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must have knowledge of healthcare and research industries.
- Must be proficient in AutoCAD.
- Obtains knowledge of building codes and stays current with building code changes.
- Must have a thorough understanding of the principles of the discipline she/he is designing.
- Formal training in AutoCAD and Revit preferred but adequate experience may be sufficient
- Within his or her technical specialty, is able to design and lay out routine portions of a project using AutoCAD, MEP and REVIT.
- Must be a graduate from an engineering curriculum accredited by the Accreditation for Engineering and Technology or from a Nonaccredited engineering curriculum or related engineering science or with a B.S. degree in engineering Technology with four years of acceptable engineering experience or have a minimum of twelve years of specific on-the-job experience in the consulting engineering field including developing plans and specifications in her/his technical specialty
- Is able to design various types of systems and apply appropriate solutions based on functional and economic constraints.
