The Production Supervisor – Aggregates role at Brayford Quarry reports to the Site Manager and is responsible for the safe, efficient and compliant day‑to‑day operation of the quarry. The position combines hands‑on supervision with accountability for health & safety, quality, production performance and customer service, supporting the wider team to deliver reliable, high‑quality aggregates.
- Ensure quarry operations meet statutory safety, environmental, and company policies.
- Lead daily safety inspections and audits, taking corrective action as needed.
- Support contractor oversight, including plant inspections and RAMS compliance.
- Conduct weekly geotechnical inspections and maintain records.
- Assist with cost‑effective purchasing of spares, materials, and services.
- Contribute to period‑end profit estimates (stock returns, production analysis, expenditure summaries).
- Keep maintenance and servicing records accurate and schedule repairs.
- Communicate effectively across the site team and identify training needs.
- Provide thorough induction and role‑specific training for new staff.
- Support fraud prevention initiatives and maintain good neighbour relations.
- Uphold high housekeeping standards for land, roads, buildings, and site areas.

The ideal candidate holds a current First Aid Certificate, IQ DAPS qualification and strong supervisory experience within a quarry or aggregates environment. A proactive, safety‑first mindset and the confidence to lead on site are required, with a NVQ Level 4 in Health, Safety and Environmental Management in Quarries regarded as desirable.
