Circet USA’s IT function is transitioning from support by its sister company KGP Telecommunications to an independent team. The Infrastructure Lead will design the Microsoft‑based target architecture, plan the migration from the legacy environment, and then implement and operate the new core IT infrastructure while overseeing the split and integrating future acquisitions.
In this role, the lead will own the overall infrastructure strategy and roadmap for on‑prem, cloud, network, storage, backup, and endpoints, aligning them with business and security priorities. They will define standards, patterns, and best practices, manage the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework, and apply the Well‑Architected Framework to ensure security, reliability, cost optimization, performance, and operational excellence.
The lead will architect and implement Azure landing zones, virtual networks, subnets, firewalls, and hybrid connectivity, as well as build and manage Azure IaaS and PaaS services. Responsibilities also include establishing subscription hierarchies, resource group conventions, Azure Policy baselines, and core services such as Active Directory/Microsoft Entra ID, DNS, DHCP, and certificates.
Hands‑on operational duties involve advanced troubleshooting of network, server, cloud, storage, and backup issues, as well as configuring, monitoring, patching, and capacity‑managing systems. The lead will implement monitoring, alerting, and logging tools, participate in on‑call rotations, and ensure incident response processes are effective.
Working closely with security teams, the lead will implement Zero‑Trust controls, hardening, firewalls, VPN, and endpoint tools, and operate Microsoft Defender solutions. They will design backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity capabilities, and enforce change management and documentation standards.
Collaboration with application, data, and service‑desk teams is essential to align infrastructure with service level agreements. The lead will document architectures, create runbooks, build a knowledge base, and drive automation initiatives such as infrastructure‑as‑code and standardized image deployments.
The role requires adherence to federal and local occupational safety regulations, industry standards, and Circet USA’s Injury and Illness Prevention Program, including participation in site safety and hazard analyses.
Candidates must have at least seven years of infrastructure engineering experience, strong hands‑on Azure networking and landing‑zone expertise, and deep knowledge of Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, and core AD services. They should demonstrate the ability to own complex incidents end‑to‑end, provide technical guidance, and lead small teams.
Preferred backgrounds include experience in greenfield, merger or separation environments, familiarity with IaC tools like PowerShell or Terraform, and exposure to security frameworks such as Zero‑Trust. Key competencies are a hands‑on builder mindset, strong problem‑solving and communication skills, and a sense of ownership in a nascent IT organization.
The company offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, and critical illness insurance, as well as digital health and wellness support. Additional perks encompass short‑ and long‑term disability, group life insurance, flexible spending and health savings accounts, paid time off, a 401(k) plan, and a company discount website.
