Human Resources Business Partner

Description

• Administer and support US employee benefit plans, including day-to-day management and input into plan design.
• Act as the US liaison between HR and payroll to ensure smooth operations.
• Collaborate with HR colleagues in Canada and Australia to maintain consistency and share knowledge.
• Lead and contribute to HR projects and initiatives within the US region.
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation across Colorado, California and Texas.
• Manage full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for US roles.
• Conduct exit interviews and share insights with leadership to support continuous improvement.
• Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, employee relations, and performance matters.
• Stay informed on HR regulations and ensure compliance with relevant laws.
• Support training, coaching, and development initiatives in partnership with the broader HR team.

We’re looking for a proactive and adaptable HR Business Partner to support our US operations. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, this role is ideal for an experienced HR generalist who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and working across a variety of HR functions. You’ll be the go-to HR contact for our US team, providing hands-on support across recruitment, employee relations, compliance and more. While you’ll work independently day-to-day, you’ll also collaborate with our global HR team in Canada and Australia to ensure alignment and share best practices.

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or a related field (preferred).
• 5+ years of HR experience in a generalist or business partner role.
• Ability to work independently while staying connected to the broader team.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and solving problems with a practical, people-first approach.
• Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management.
• Experience in the energy or clean tech industry is an asset.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and credibility.
• Solid understanding of employment legislation in Colorado and California, familiarity with Texas is a plus.
