Conduct and lead traffic engineering studies, traffic impact analyses, traffic operation and safety studies
Responsible in managing/working on transportation engineering or planning projects including fieldwork, design, analysis, preparation of presentations, graphics and other support tasks as needed
Perform and lead data analysis to support development and implementation strategies for improving arterial traffic flow and safety, and evaluating system performance
Develop/Assist/Lead the preparation of Traffic Signal/ITS plans
Collect traffic signal/ ITS equipment inventory
Perform and lead transportation, traffic, or systems engineering work in the development of traffic signal timing, signal systems management, and operations Systems engineering analysis and reports under the direction of senior management/principal engineering staff
The position will lead the analysis, assessment, and interpretation of data, conditions, and systems to plan and execute traffic signal retiming improvements and lead the preparation of Traffic Signal/ITS plans

Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) license is preferred
Professional Engineer (PE) license in any state is required
IMSA Traffic Signal Field Technician Level II (or willingness to obtain; we provide financial assistance)
Minimum ten (10) years of experience in transportation engineering principles including signal timing studies / ITS design
A passion for data analysis, attention to detail, real-time traffic operations improvements to enhance the safety and traveling experience of the motoring public and pedestrians
Traffic signal design and signal optimization and simulation software, including but not limited to Microstation, Synchro, SimTraffic, ATSPM and other traffic analysis software
Solid written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school) or Master’s Degree, Field of Study: Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Transportation Planning
Position may require frequent travel locally
