- Lead or serve as Subject Matter Expert or lead Design Manager for complex engineering designs for industrial water projects while collaborating with other design disciplines. Routine tasks include:
- Lead knowledge transfer and development of staff within your area of expertise.
- Support Arcadis’ industrial water growth in CA and western United States
- Review of engineering drawings (P&IDs and Layout)
- Client meetings for business development,
- Leading pursuits and development of proposals,
- Engaging with Arcadis’ regional, national, and global client account teams, supporting the expansion of business development opportunities and client relationships to strategically grow Arcadis’ industrial water/wastewater portfolio, leveraging existing and new client relationships.
- Lead projects and clients in the planning, design and construction of Water / Wastewater treatment plants and wastewater recycle plants for industrial clients.
- Support the development of the Industrial Water process team across a variety of market sectors.
- Design basis documents (provide direction/review)
- Assist Arcadis’ project managers with developing and managing the project scope, budget, staffing, and schedule.
- Engineering reports and feasibility studies (provide direction/review)
- Lead business development activities to increase project wins and develop long lasting client relationships. Routine tasks include:
- Engineering calculations including mass and energy balances (provide direction/review)

- Master of Science or PhD Degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field of study
- PE license
- Previous experience in a regional role and collaboration across regional teams
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field of study
- 15 years of industrial water/wastewater treatment experience
- Knowledge and experience with industrial clients in the western United States
