Extract drawings and information from models and information supplied by the client.
Develop block diagrams for mechanical structures, as well as electrical and electronic schematics.
Assist the Estimating Department for any related mechanical work.
Supervise and coordinate CAD vendors when required.
Edit, rework and update CAD drawing files as required by product changes.
Responsible for the maintenance of all technical and mechanical layout drawings using both 2-D and 3-D CAD software as necessary.
Produce 3-D CAD models of prototypes by collaborating with product designers, technicians, engineers and other manufacturing/fabrication professionals.
Produce 2-D and 3-D CAD drawings with little or no information (sketches, notes, schematics, guides or other documentation) from the client in a timely and accurate fashion.
Ensure responsibilities and accountabilities are carried out in a safe manner in accordance with E.S. Fox Ltd. safety policy/procedures, ISO 18001 standards and OHSA requirements.
Review existing CAD drawings and designs to ensure adherences to established specifications and standards.
Communicate, coordinate and ensure adequate and accurate information and drawings are transmitted between the mechanical layout specialist and fabricators.
Create product design drawings, packaging specifications, facility layout, topographical design and other models as required.
Attend site meetings to assist in coordination and planning.
Recommend, schedule and perform software improvements, upgrades and /or purchases.
Follow established E.S. Fox standards with regards to layering, dimensioning, text annotations and other aspects of CAD usage.
Populate and maintain CAD information repository database.
Ensure that environmental aspects within his/her sphere of responsibility are adhered to pursuant to ISO 14001 requirements.
Supervise and perform/obtain field measurements and verification of customer supplied information.

Completion of a degree or diploma from a technical discipline, or equivalent fabrication and construction industry experience.
Experience in fabrication and construction environment.
Extensive oil industry - piping and pressure vessels specific knowledge.
Reliable, trustworthy and professional demeanor.
Experience, or knowledge of fabricating, welding and finishing of carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum materials especially piping components.
3D scanning and point cloud manipulation will be an asset.
Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
Strong technical skills with excellent troubleshooting skills.
Excellent interpersonal relations.
Generally knowledgeable in ASME and CSA codes.
Must have the fundamental knowledge of 3-D drawing.
Works well under time constraints.
Experience with custom steel, metal, fabrication and piping code requirements.
Demonstrated ability to take initiative and be able to work independently and in a team environment.
Achieves results and demonstrated ability to deliver required results on a timely basis.
Significant experience in CAD in at least one of the following Cad Packages; Solid Works, AutoCad, CADWorx, Inventor, AC Plant 3D, AC MEP, Revit or any other BIM experience (other packages will be considered during the interview).
Knowledge in fabrication of piping and pressure vessels.
