● Create and maintain the internal calendar to track and ensure the timely submission of funding proposals, grant renewals, and required reports
● Research, coordinate and write proposals and reports for a wide variety of corporate and foundation grants with a focus on renewals as well as individual giving proposals
● Establish and manage stewardship and donor relations program for Westhab’s donors
● Assist with communications including social media and author nominations
● Research prospective individual and institutional funders to create briefings for Vice President and CEO
● Monitor program compliance for continuity for grant/gift administration in collaboration with finance and program colleagues
● Support development events and projects including proofreading documents
● Maintain the donor database, produce reports to track fundraising efforts, and help analyze data to inform strategies
● Support operations for board and committee meetings
● Successfully and independently manage multiple, simultaneous projects with the ability to prioritize
● High level of personal productivity with demonstrated follow-through
● Ability to travel throughout Westchester County and NYC for meetings and events
● Superior writing skills including the ability to capture the purpose, importance, and impact of Westhab’s programs and projects and craft clear and compelling funding proposals
● Development experience preferred
