Tasks

-Coordination and development of the design to construction through IDD processes such as 5D/ 4D to ensure consideration and optimization of the opportunities for sustainability, digital engineering, buildability, carbon, logistics, industrialization designing for maintenance and health, safety and welfare during construction and in-use . -Identify opportunities and recommend solutions that will enhance or improve processes. -Project deployment duties include; installing software, organizing, maintaining and setting up CAD exchange environments, basic training & support for project team, coordination assistance, file conversions and documenting process and solutions for reuse. -Providing coordination reports of the interfaces between engineering disciplines / design and construction / temporary and permanent works design activities, through the IDD process. -Facilitate consultant and trades through multiple project phases with digital logistic construction management process. -Supporting the project BIM Manager to ensure the correct activities are assigned to the consultant supply chains Information Managers. -Evaluate and assess site conditions prior to construction. -Develop phased site development 2-D and 3-D drawings for construction. -Coordinate with field superintendents and construction managers, design engineers, and others to meet constructability requirements. -Quantity take offs using cut/fill tracking, xml surface extractions. -Coordinate with Project Managers and Construction Managers to develop a project specific process for utilizing or creating 3D information for estimating, logistics, planning, scheduling, coordination, field layout and/or facilitates management. -Assist in the creation of project specific contract language for tender packages for 3D submission process and 3D as-builts for facilities management. -Review, coordinate and manage the creation of Project Information Models. -Ensure you and your family receive the services needed to support your mental, emotional, and physical well-being. -Create project specific protocols regarding communication and data exchange, nomenclature, format, 3D workspace orientation to ensure interoperability as required. -Creating and maintain corridors/sections/profiles for rail and road design alignments. -Run IDD tools training workshops to enable people to deliver their responsibilities in relation to Aecon IDD Strategy. -Champion 3D coordination on active job site, act as liaison with project team, consultants and subcontractors to facilitate process and maintain Master Project BIM database.

What You Bring

-On-site construction experience would be desirable. -Understanding design and construction phases and alignment with the Digital Plan of Works would be desirable. -Educational and Industry experience requirements include; Engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training plus experience/knowledge of Civil Construction practice. -Working knowledge of EHS regulations. -Proficiency in BIM authoring tools such as REVIT, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bentley AecoSim. -Proven experience in priority setting, multitasking, and working with minimal direct supervision. -Project experience in implementation BIM process in accordance with PAS1192:2 and Institute for BIM in Canada toolkits would be desirable. -Detailed understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards etc. and their impact on project activities is vital. -Knowledge of Common Data Environments such as ProjectWise, BIM 360, and Aconex. -Strong written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills (tact, diplomacy, influence etc.) skills are essential. -Experience of large complex projects in infrastructure would be desirable. -Proficiency in 4D platforms such as Navisworks simulate and Synchro. -Extensive experience with 3-D modeling in grading, ground surfacing, roads, etc. -Proficiency with model federation platforms such as Assemble Systems, Navisworks and Bentley Navigator. -5+ years drafting experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D with a professional civil design / consulting firm or comparable experience.
