As a Senior Estimator in Nottingham, you'll play a key role within the pre-construction team, leading pricing and tendering activities for construction projects valued between £1M and £30M. Based in their dynamic office environment, you'll report directly to the Pre-Construction Manager and contribute significantly to securing a strong pipeline of work.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and manage tender evaluations to ensure accuracy and competitiveness
- Oversee subcontractor and supplier enquiries to obtain competitive quotations and ensure value for money
- Collaborate closely with pre-construction and project teams to develop robust bid strategies
- Undertake quantity takeoff and cost planning activities using industry-standard estimating software
- Analyse project requirements, specifications and drawings to identify risks and opportunities
- Support post-tender negotiations and provide cost breakdowns as required
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, materials pricing and labour costs across the construction sector

- Demonstrable experience as a Construction Estimator, Senior Estimator or Cost Estimator within the construction industry
- Ideally from a main contractor background with framework experience
- Proficient in using estimating software, quantity takeoff tools and Microsoft Office applications
