Collaborate in person or remotely with team members, other Stantec disciplines, and clients to achieve project success, acting as a project team member or a project leader.
Conduct field reviews of projects during construction to verify conformance with construction documents and provide letters of professional assurance to the applicable authorities having jurisdiction.
Conduct quality assurance and quality control on projects.
Assist upper level staff with developing and managing the project scope, budget, staffing and schedule.
Prepare and revise documentation in various mechanical phases including site plans, floor plans, diagrams, and details.
Engage in the development of a design through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats.
Lead project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants, owner and contractor, subcontractors, and vendors.
Participate in client project requirement meetings and value analysis and basic cost estimating.
Lead the preparation and coordination of the project specifications with construction documents.
Utilize BIM technologies in development of threedimensional models of building’s mechanical systems and provide markups for junior engineers/ designers.
Perform and oversee the development of calculations using company standard software, and proprietary manufacturer software.
Evaluate, select, specify, and engineer all mechanical engineered systems or products for a project and assuring work is reviewed for overall technical accuracy

Be comfortable in a clientfacing position and in the field.
Intermediate or strong project management skills.
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel). Experience in Revit, AutoCAD, Trane Trace & IES would be an asset.
Requisite knowledge and application of the mechanical, plumbing, fire protection and energy codes, ASHRAE standards, and other building codes.
Strong collaborative skills while working with a single or multidiscipline team.
Strong leadership skills, with proven ability to lead project tasks and activities.
Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to check the work of others for accuracy and completeness and manage time to meet project budget and schedule.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems (fire protection, plumbing, HVAC, controls), means and methods, materials, and industry standards.
Understanding the importance of complying with Stantec's Employee Health and Safety (EH&S) program, with a focus on safety in the field.
Ability to follow Stantec's quality control guidelines.
Must be selfmotivated, team oriented, efficient, and a good communicator.
Effective written and verbal communication skills. Bilingual (English and French) would be a major asset.
