Portfolio Associate II - Renewable Energy

Description

• Lead small projects and activities.
• Provide excellent customer service internally and externally.
• Coordinate with the Financial Asset Management team and assist in billing and revenue tracking, invoice tracking, SREC administration, settlements and other financial deliverables.
• Support the management of relationships with key project stakeholders, including project owner & investors, power offtakers, O&M providers, internal cross functional team members and multiple external 3rd parties.
• Create and prepare performance and analytical reports for the operating projects.
• Manage document administration and data rooms for project specific documents.
• Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner. Gather, review and asses information appropriately.
• Gain expertise in the commercial, contractual, regulatory, and reporting obligations of an operating portfolio of renewable energy assets (solar, wind, BESS), and execute tasks to ensure portfolio compliance with all project agreements
• Coordinate with the Technical Asset Management team and Operations and Maintenance (O&M) personnel on the performance and operations of the projects
• Coordinate, compile and submit FERC, EIA and other regulatory compliance obligations with support of internal team members and 3rd parties.
• Support ad-hoc technical and financial analysis and reporting.
• Assist Portfolio Managers and other team members in tracking and fulfilling on-going tasks and deliverables; use Radian Digital software to drive workflow by managing tasks, tracking operations, administering contracts, ensuring regulatory compliance, and financial reporting.
• Project performance data analysis, cost benefit analyses, project reporting and presentation
• Organize meeting agendas, both internal and with clients; potentially lead meetings with O & M providers or other counter parties.
• Train and assist newer team members with standard tasks.
• Effectively participate in the creation of new SOP's and manage the updating of existing SOP's.
• Track project performance, weather, and operational data for operating projects through event tickets and O & M work orders. Understand and make use of the data in the context of supporting the optimization of projects and portfolios. Create templates for tracking and analysis as needed.

Requirements

• Preferred field of degree: Business Administration, Economics, Energy Studies, Environmental Studies, Technical Engineering or Related Field
• Working knowledge of solar PV, wind or BESS equipment and system design
• Experience in working with C & I and utility scale renewable energy projects. Familiarity with Community Solar management.
• Drive Resolution of straight forward problems.
• Able to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands and deal with frequent interruptions, changes, delays or unexpected events.
• Ability to analyze complex data and create reports.
• Experience in renewable energy industry asset management or operations, plus some educational experience in renewable energy. Experience with PV, wind or BESS equipment and system design.
• Proven documentation, presentation, and communication skills - both written and verbal
• Experience with data analysis, reporting and presentation
• Able to liaise with clients on routine matters in a professional manner
• Root cause analysis and problem solving skills
• Able to take ownership of tasks and pursue to completion, plan and organize meetings and communicate with clients and other key external stakeholders.
• Able to analyze data and create reports
• Able to listen carefully and speak clearly and professionally in all situations. Possesses business interpersonal skills and customer service skills. Able to read, interpret and extract critical information from various types of contracts.
• Working Knowledge of basic accounting and budget management.
• Familiarity with asset management software systems & third-party monitoring platforms
• University Degree (or equivalent) with 2-4 years of experience or equivalent work experience
• Demonstrates passion to learn in a rapidly growing often unstructured environment. Always looking to learn, grow and expand their knowledge.
• At least 2+ years working with operating renewable energy assets: solar, wind or BESS
• Working knowledge of C & I and utility-scale renewable energy projects and Community Solar management
• Experience with a U.S. based company
• Experience in a service provider environment
• Customer service experience
• Expertise in MS Office MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project) and Adobe PDF toolsets
• Experience with commercial renewable energy contracts
• Business writing experience
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Team player, effective at using interpersonal connections and customer service skills to achieve team goals. Proactive in supporting the PM and the team.
