Researches, plans, coordinates, and proposes original designs of mechanical products and systems. Performs original design and layout work to develop new or modified products using CAD equipment. Employs extensive knowledge of engineering theory, mathematics, and practical mechanics to solve design and production problems. Provides technical support to internal and external customers.
The role involves testing prototype and production equipment, participating in customer and project review meetings, and analyzing project scope to determine design and drafting manpower requirements. It includes assisting in conceptual design proposals, leading design staff to evaluate alternatives, and reviewing complete product layouts and engineering calculations. The engineer also manages project status for on‑time delivery, productivity, quality, safety, and acts as a liaison to transfer new technologies to operations.
Ideal candidates hold a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with 2 to 4 years of experience, possess a strong technical foundation in mechanical engineering, and are proficient with CAD software. Experience in leading teams, time‑management skills, and good command of English are also required, with knowledge of TFMC products and manufacturing processes preferred.
Key skills include application design, product knowledge, project auditing and process verification, presentation abilities, cross‑cultural communication, and additional computer skills.
