The Coordinator position is responsible for planning, processing, and requesting manufacturing information using computer‑generated data reports. The role supports production scheduling, material control, and expediting shortages within assigned areas while contributing to an innovative environment where professionals can reach their full potential.
Key duties include coordinating material flow both within and between areas to meet ship dates, updating order and material status with supervisors and control personnel, and participating in multi‑functional production meetings. The Coordinator utilizes tools such as Microsoft Excel, DMM, AS400, and the Material Synchronization Spreadsheet to manage floor stock, process surplus or defective material, and troubleshoot missing or incorrect information. Additional tasks involve reviewing production data, assisting operators, operating a forklift as needed, performing end‑of‑day 5S activities, and serving as a backup Team Lead.
- Plan, process, and request manufacturing information using computer‑generated reports
- Schedule production units and assist in controlling materials, hardware expense items, and expediting shortages
- Coordinate material flow within and between areas to meet scheduled ship dates
- Review and update order and material status with supervisors, control personnel, customer service, and KanBan expeditors
- Participate in regularly scheduled multi‑functional production meetings (weekly to daily)
- Maintain floor stock and records using Microsoft Excel, DMM, AS400, and the Material Synchronization Spreadsheet
- Identify and resolve missing or incorrect manufacturing information
- Attend Tier meetings, manage email communications, and log into required systems (DMM, Enovia, AS400)
- Review production tasks such as turnbacks, Kanban lists, crane sheets, and SPCs; identify past‑due parts
- Assist operators with part flow and operate a forklift when needed
- Perform end‑of‑day 5S tasks to keep the workspace clean and organized
- Act as backup Team Lead to ensure continuity of leadership

Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, at least three years of manufacturing or material‑processing experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and systems like AS400, VISTA, and DMM. The position requires a collaborative, self‑starting attitude, the ability to multitask, and forklift operation capability. Physical demands include frequent standing, walking, lifting up to 35 lb, and using vision and hearing continuously. Only applicants residing within 50 miles of Sumter and authorized to work permanently in the US will be considered; no relocation assistance is provided.
