  • Communications of PJM Weather Alerts
  • Visitor management to include escorting duties at the Data Centers
  • Coordinates restoration of service through Major/Significant incident processes to include contacting participants, hosting calls, and insuring documentation collection.
  • Investigation of call home alarms from equipment
  • Monitoring of Building Maintenance Systems
  • Demonstrate and apply basic to intermediate level technical literacy, knowledge and skills in the major technical disciplines.
  • Assist in database and record keeping systems for work and asset tracking. Participate in cross-training of various telecommunications and IT systems.
  • Mainframe master console monitoring with periodic mainframe IPLs
  • Log or record support tickets and/or cases in ServiceNow or with supporting vendors. For more complex issues, transfer internal customers to second/third-level technicians.
  • Work to gain knowledge and understanding of various Telecommunications/IT technologies and business processes.
  • Perform basic to intermediate installation, system testing, troubleshooting, and technology issue resolution Produce required documentation.
  • Promote Windows Servers to Production
  • Provide support for technical inquiries received via phone, email, alerting systems, and messaging applications from supporting technical groups.
  • Assess the nature of problems and resolve basic server based and mainframe support issues. Troubleshoot OS software and hardware issues. Perform mainframe troubleshooting and SUBPDS.
  • Performs complex tasks and completes assignments with little or no assistance.
  • Use existing procedures to solve routine or standard problems.

  • Mainframe experience is a huge plus.
  • Adapt to changing work schedules and priorities.
  • The ability to pass a 7-year background check for NERC-CIP functions.
  • Server Admin skills.

  • Physical Server Support to include physical server reboots, bios changes, hot swap parts replacements, addition of memory, remote hands, etc.
  • Windows OS experience.
  • Storm Mode implementations and notifications
  • Works under limited supervision with latitude for independent judgment.
  • Fully proficient in discipline.
  • Application Failover support (Bundle Moves)
