Based at GE Vernova Power Conversion, the Service Commissioning Manager provides design support for motors, drives, and control technologies while overseeing all resources and logistics needed to perform services and maintenance on customer sites. This role ensures the maintenance, repair, refurbishment of existing products and the commissioning of new equipment and systems.
In the preparation phase, the manager is responsible for budgeting and financial oversight, developing comprehensive cost estimates for equipment, labour, logistics, and contractor services, and implementing financial controls and tracking systems in line with company guidelines.
Collaboration with the Installation, Testing & Operations (ITO) and Sales teams is essential to create accurate installation and commissioning estimates, translate customer requirements into detailed cost breakdowns, and support bid preparation with realistic timelines and resource needs.
The role coordinates multidisciplinary engineering teams, manages procurement planning, arranges training and certification, and creates and oversees subcontractor estimates, ensuring that installations meet contractual, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Strategically, the manager leads field service resources, drives safety culture, mentors team members, and contributes to service growth initiatives by integrating processes, applying Lean tools for continuous improvement, and aligning service activities with the broader business strategy.
