The Role

Overview

Assist General Counsel with legal research, document drafting, and admin tasks.

Tasks

-Conduct thorough legal research on a wide range of topics related to housing, contracts, employment, and regulatory compliance. -Draft, edit, and review contracts, employment agreements, resident agreements, and other legal documents. -Prepare clear and concise memoranda summarizing findings for review by the Executive Vice President & General Counsel. -Support the development and implementation of corporate policies, procedures, and programs. -Assist with managing and organizing legal files, records, and correspondence. -Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations affecting RHF’s operations. -Assist in preparing legal correspondence, memoranda, and policy materials. -Help coordinate special projects and ensure deadlines are met. -Support the preparation of documentation related to administrative rule requirements and compliance matters. -Provide assistance on a variety of legal issues, including:

What You Bring

-Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills. -Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities (both verbal and written). -Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills. -Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and online legal research tools (e.g., LexisNexis, Westlaw). -Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally. -Prior experience in nonprofit, real estate, or senior housing organizations preferred, but not required. -Currently pursuing a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
