What you would be doing

  • Mange and maintain databases, data management and documentation systems related to cross-connection control, including test results, inspection records, and customer information.
  • Prepare regular and ad hoc reports for internal and external stakeholders, including compliance documentation and program performance summaries.
  • Assist the Program Manager with budgeting by tracking expenses, compiling financial data, and supporting budget preparation and monitoring processes.
  • Support public education efforts by helping to develop and distribute informational materials to customers.
  • Ensure data security, integrity, and confidentiality in all program records.
  • Collect, review, and analyze data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with field staff, contractors, and other departments to coordinate data collection and resolve discrepancies.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries, providing information, resolving issues, and coordinating communication regarding cross-connection requirements and compliance notifications.
  • Assist with compliance audits and provide data as needed for regulatory reviews.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in data management and reporting workflows.

  • Familiarity with water utility operations, cross-connection control, or regulatory compliance.
  • Experience with database management, data analysis, and reporting tools (Excel, Access, or specialized utility software) is required.
  • Strong customer service skills, including written and verbal communications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and comfort with learning new software operations.
  • 4-6 years of experience
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Data Management, Business Administration, Environmental Science, or related field is preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • This is an entry level position, previous relevant work experience is preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of three years relevant experience.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry and analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Experience with database management, data analysis, and reporting tools (Excel, Access, or specialized utility software).
  • High school graduate, diploma or GED from approved GED Administrator
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or GED issued from an approved GED Administrator.
  • Minimum of five years relevant experience.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid State of Florida Class E Driver's License.
