Extensive experience with 2D and 3D CAD software is required (strict adherence to Hatch and Client drafting standards will be expected). Experience with data-centric or BIM systems is preferred.
Experience with isometric production control and monitoring
Site experience in a technical role is preferred.
Thorough understanding of PFDs and P&IDs
Strong deliverable focus, ability to plan the work
10+ years of experience in either mechanical or piping design. Experience in both is preferred.
Well-developed communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
Ability to motivate individuals to attain quality, cost and schedule objectives
A high degree of understanding of inter-discipline dependencies related to the discipline
Diploma or equivalent in engineering design or drafting.
Sound knowledge of industry or regulatory standards and codes as required for piping design
Previous professional experience must include heavy industrial plant layout and process and utility piping system routing.
Familiarity with ASME piping codes is expected.
Sound knowledge of design systems and workflows as they relate to the piping discipline
Thorough knowledge of piping components and materials
Experience with multidisciplinary coordination
Sound design and modeling skills for plant layout, piping design and detailing
