The role supports the growth of BRE’s online products that enable users to report and monitor sustainability credentials of construction projects, working closely with developers, UI designers, QA engineers and product owners to implement roadmap functionality.
Key responsibilities include overseeing Agile Sprint Teams, delivering new and existing product features, ensuring code quality and security, managing technical risks, planning releases, mentoring developers, and contributing to architectural decisions while staying aligned with customer needs.
- Lead and manage a Sprint Team through the BRE Agile development process.
- Deliver new functionality and maintain existing features across BRE’s online products.
- Own or delegate development tasks from estimation and specification through to delivery.
- Ensure production of robust, secure, high‑quality code meeting BRE standards.
- Identify, manage, and escalate technical risks and delivery challenges.
- Plan and execute product releases with Product Owners and the Release Manager.
- Provide technical oversight and mentorship to developers and junior developers.
- Collaborate with senior developers to support Agile delivery and standards.
- Support architectural decisions and contribute to BRE product technical vision.
- Maintain strong understanding of product drivers and customer needs.
