Use data from reports to identify area of improvements and improve efficiencies;
Collaborate with truck drivers to ensure materials are loaded safely and correctly.
Actively participates in meetings and share relevant information with the team;
Confirm product loading is correct;
Ensure that all workers are wearing required equipment (gloves, protective glasses, earplugs, safety shoes, etc.);
Collaborate with maintenance department to determine repair needs and optimal repair time.
Verify costs and expenses prior to making decisions (budget)
Identify the losses/problem areas and make the necessary corrections, adjustments or improvements;
Constant communication with Plant Manager, Transportation Manager, other supervisors, Maintenance, Fleet Manager, HR, and Customer Service, ensuring the most productive and cost-effective plan is obtained. Encourage a partnership environment
Ensure the proper execution of yard activities and ensure their compliance with company policies;
Support and participate in developing the business plan, deliver results and be held accountable;
Verify inventory levels on a weekly basis;
Ensure training compliance to include new hire forklift certifications and recertifications.
Supervise all yard workers and ensure their presence at the beginning of each shift and following each break. Address all events necessitating disciplinary action with the support of HR;
