Tasks

-Provide ad hoc legal support to other corporate functions as required e.g. HR, IT, Tax, Corporate (including occasional support on group restructuring and acquisitions). -Take all reasonable steps to ensure that all activity is in line with the business’ compliance requirements. -Provide day to day legal advice on all matters affecting all business divisions in EMEA and ASPAC. -Build strong relationships with internal contacts at all levels within all business divisions in order to understand the business requirements and develop an approach that is commercially supportive, as well as legally compliant. -Provide training to business teams in respect of pertinent and relevant commercial legal matters. -Draft and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements across EMEA and ASPAC including supply, purchase, agency, distribution, collaborations, confidentiality, consultancy, tenders, leases and internal agreements.

What You Bring

-Ideally a commercial Lawyer with a least 1 years’ PQE but being commercially minded and having the right attitude and enthusiasm in a small, busy team is key. -In house experience working as part of a global organisation would be advantageous but is not essential -A good knowledge of contractual and commercial legal matters and a basic knowledge of IP matters and compliance legislation -Confidently able to work under own initiative, independently and to interact with people at all levels across a variety of business areas -Ability to identify, analyse and assess key legal issues relevant to the business and to provide advice in a commercially practical way
