Senior Project Engineer Urban Mobility and Transit

Description

• Lead and support the design of rail track alignments, including horizontal and vertical geometry.
• Prepare design plans, calculations, technical reports, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design integration and compliance with industry standards.
• Conduct gauging assessments and buffer‑stop risk evaluations using specialized software.
• Participate in site visits to assess field conditions and support construction activities.
• Mentor and lead junior engineers, contributing to technical development within the team.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and sub‑consultants to ensure project success.
• Support BIM implementation and set up data environments for design collaboration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in rail track design and civil infrastructure.
• Proficiency with design software such as Civil 3D, Bentley Rail Track, or OpenRail.
• Familiarity with Canadian, U.S., and international rail standards and safety regulations.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Professional Engineer (P. Eng) license in Ontario.
