Overview
Inspect municipal sewer manholes using GPS, document conditions, gain field/office experience.

Tasks
-Locate manholes using GPS (survey equipment), taking pictures using a tablet, and inspecting for infiltration and cracks are the main goals for this work. -Be a part of the project team and under the supervision of Professional Engineers, performing manhole inspections throughout the City of Canton sewer systems.

What You Bring
-Previous survey experience a plus. -Ability to lift manhole covers up to 80 lbs. -Valid driver's license with a good driving record. -Provide knowledge of municipal infrastructure in a real-life application of civil engineering. -Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. -Strong verbal and written communication skills. -Experience with Microsoft Office products required. AutoCAD or ArcGIS experience a plus. -Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat and work outdoors. -Current student at an accredited college or university working toward bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying or Mapping.
