Tasks include cutting, bending, threading, and joining pipe with flanged, screwed, bell‑and‑spigot, compression, or soldered connections, as well as securing pipe to structures with brackets, clamps, and hangers. Additional duties involve lockout/tagout procedures, site inspections, equipment dismantling, and maintaining a clean, safe work area while completing required paperwork.
Saulsbury Industries is hiring a Modular Pipefitter Apprentice for a permanent, full‑time position in Henderson, TX. This entry‑level role works under supervision and involves installing, maintaining, and repairing process‑facility piping, high‑pressure steam systems, pumps, boilers, and related equipment. Apprentices will use a variety of hand and power tools, interpret sketches and specifications, and may perform basic welding while leading helpers as needed.
Applicants should have 37‑47 months of relevant experience, a valid driver’s license, and their own tools. Safety is paramount; candidates must pass a DOT‑mandated drug test, complete Saulsbury safety training, attend safety meetings, and consistently promote environmental, health, and safety policies. Strong reading, math, and communication skills are required to interpret work orders, technical manuals, and safety procedures.
The role demands significant physical ability, including lifting up to 50 lb, climbing 30‑foot ladders, and working in confined, noisy, and dusty environments. Cognitive requirements include decision‑making, problem‑solving, and the ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols.
