SNB Operator-Day Shift

Description

• Maintain records of consumption documents.
• Operate metalworking machines such as Shear, brake, and notcher (Training can be provided)
• Carry out preventative measures.
• Employee is responsible to perform the above mentioned, and any other tasks assigned to them in a safe manner and in accordance with our Health & Safety Policies, JHA’s & SWP’s.
• Measure and mark sheet metal according to the drawings.
• Employee is responsible to understand and follow all Company Policies and Rules.

Requirements

• Must be willing to work in other areas of our facility as required.
• General understanding of engineering and sheet metal principles.
• Comfortable working in loud environments (hearing protection required).
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Shear, notch, cut, bend, punch different types of metal.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with Co-Workers, Team Leads, Supervisors, Engineering, Quality and Health & Safety.
• Must exhibit safe work practices.
• Must have basic computer and math skills
• Steel toed boots (CSA Approved 6’ in height or greater) required.
• Must be able work OT on weekdays and weekends when required.
• Must demonstrate organizational skills and be able to work independently.
• Ability to read a tape measure, diagrams, and blueprints.
• Ability to use various hand & power tools (drills, grinders, chop saws, band saws, measuring tape, etc.).Knowledge and understanding of material gauges.
• Previous experience in manufacturing environment an asset
• Grade 12 education or equivalent
