Sr. Operations Leader (Factory & Distribution)

Description

The Sr. Operations Leader is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing all manufacturing operations and facility maintenance at the New York plant. This role provides strategic direction to ensure safe, efficient, cost‑effective production, manages production supervisors, maintenance teams and support staff, and holds direct accountability for P&L performance, operational excellence and regulatory compliance.

• Lead strategic direction for NY plant operations, manufacturing, and facility maintenance.
• Supervise production supervisors and coordinate daily plant activities.
• Develop and execute plans to boost productivity, quality, and efficiency while cutting costs.
• Manage plant P&L, budgets, and capital expenditures.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations and promote a safety culture.
• Conduct regular Gemba walks and lead plant‑wide safety meetings to drive employee engagement.
• Implement lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
• Partner with Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering to guarantee product quality and on‑time delivery.
• Drive employee training, engagement, and leadership development.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic planning, capacity expansion, and capital projects.
• Monitor KPIs and operational metrics, identify gaps, and apply corrective actions.
• Apply lean manufacturing and continuous‑improvement methodologies to achieve operational excellence.
• Lead, coach, and develop high‑performing teams with strong communication skills.

Requirements

• Demonstrate strategic leadership, financial acumen, and change‑management expertise.
• Possess 8+ years progressive manufacturing leadership experience with P&L responsibility.
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business or related field.
• Knowledge of safety, environmental and regulatory compliance standards.
• Experience managing capital projects and facility upgrades (preferred).
• HVAC industry experience is a plus.
