Engineering Manager

Description

• Provide inputs to the Project Manager in the definition and preparation of the project procedures and guidelines, and ensure that they are fully met in all the engineering activities and in their outputs (project specifications and documentation)
• Provide inputs to the Project Managers in the evaluation of the project changes (evaluating their feasibility, identifying the technical solution to implement and identifying the required resources) including the ones that require a change order (to be discussed with the Client)
• Coordinate the activities of the Engineering subcontractors, collect and verify their activity reports and authorize their payment within his/her limits of authorization
• Organize the project engineering activities and the assigned resources (engineering specialists, subcontractors, tools, etc.) providing all needed explanation / support.
• Ensure a detailed engineering scope of work is prepared for complete project.
• Document design changes and impact to cost and schedule.
• Ensure timely delivery of technical specifications, drawings, calculations, etc and ensure on time approval of same from client/statutory bodies.
• Coordinate monthly meetings among disciplines and the company to ensure common goals and objectives are met.
• Prompt identification of issues and risks related to the engineering deliverables and implementing the required mitigation actions
• Regularly inform the Project Manager on the performance and the status of the project engineering activities
• Coordinate preparation of detail schedules and manpower plans for engineering activities.
