The Role

Overview

Manage and execute multi-modal transportation planning and engineering projects.

Tasks

-Apply best practices and identify innovative solutions in active transportation master planning and design assignments, engineering analyses and studies as required for the planning, design and implementation of multi-modal transportation, transit and traffic projects. -Work with a multi-disciplinary team including transportation/traffic engineers, planners, designers, and landscape architects. -Enhance the world around you - from the environment to the highways, to the buildings and the terrain, WSP is the fabric of Canada. -Prepare and/or oversee technical memos and reports to communicate technical results and recommendations. -Attend and participate at client and public meetings. -Collaborate with your colleagues on exciting projects and opportunities, from data collection and analysis to reporting and supporting your team on a variety of in-field and in-office technical tasks.

What You Bring

-Develop progressive experience in project management and coordination. -Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment with an interest in growing professionally and learning. -P. Eng License. -Able to demonstrate strong technical writing and presentation skills and proficient using Microsoft Office. -Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Transportation Engineering. -Project management, leadership, communication, and customer relationship skills. -A passion and/or professional interest in transportation and contributing to the planning and design of multi-modal solutions. -Experience in transportation software and methods (e.g. Synchro/SimTraffic, HCS, Sidra, VISSIM, VISTRO, Aimsun). -Experience in traffic operations and site analysis. -5-8 or more years’ experience in the transportation engineering and planning field with experience in transportation impact assessments, active transportation infrastructure design and/or project management and senior engineering responsibilities.
