Field Inspection II

Description

• Confirm project scopes of work with customers and confirm that scopes match project applications and records.
• Communicate with energy efficiency program managers to inform quality assurance standards and mechanisms associated with the client Programs.
• Communicate effectively with homeowners, business owners and contractors.
• Work with customers and contractors to resolve discrepancies identified on site.
• Research and develop inspection protocols for new and evolving technologies.
• Coordinate and schedule site visits with residential, commercial & industrial and customers.
• Provide technical guidance and support in addressing on-site issues.
• Conduct inspections to document building conditions, operations, and schedules and to verify that the energy efficiency measures meet program quality standards.
• Develop inspection reports that summarize on-site findings and include photographs and action items to resolve discrepancies.

Requirements

• Excellent oral and written communications skills;
• Reliable means of transportation to facilitate site visits throughout the State of New Jersey.
• Demonstrated expertise in building science including mechanical, electrical, and/or weatherization technologies across a broad array of building types.
• Established critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills;
• Knowledge of Energy Star, LEED, Passive house programs or other building energy certifications are a plus
• Ability to work with culturally diverse customers and contractors effectively and respectfully.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Associate degree (Engineering/Technical Preferred), or at least four years of relevant experience.
• Strong computer and record-keeping skills: proficiency in MS Office and use of Customer Relationship Management (CRM).
• Team-oriented, hands-on, highly skilled, adaptive, and client-focused;
• Valid driver’s license, with clean driving record.
• Eligibility to work in the United States
• Ability to perform field inspections in New Jersey with minimal travel time.
