Operate equipment such mills, cranes, die oven use and nitriding system safely
Inspect new dies upon arrival from vendor
Review die inspection reports for proper corrective action
Keep work areas safe and clean
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts.
Rework and repair all die tooling as necessary with the guidance of Group Leader/Supervisor.
Evaluate existing tooling for replacement

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to use hoists and cranes.
Must be able to read/understand blueprints
Must also pass a skills-based test.
Must understand billet flow and temperatures
Must know how to polish and flatten bearings
Must have strong problem-solving ability
Must pass a company background check and drug screen.
Ability to accurately use calipers/micrometers, bore scope, feeler and pin gauges
Must be conscientious, diplomatic, and detail oriented.
Ability to wear proper PPE for tasks associated with operations
Must understand reaction to die tooling under pressure:
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
HS Diploma/GED
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work efficiently and effectively; self-motivated; self-starter.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
