The role is a 12‑month fixed‑term maternity cover, responsible for owning and managing the product‑complaints system while providing administrative support to the Quality Assurance (QA) department. It serves as a primary liaison for the sales team and ensures effective handling of product quality issues. The position combines technical investigation with routine office duties.
Key duties include maintaining the complaints database, inspecting and testing returned items, generating technical and weekly review reports, and collaborating with the QA team to investigate root causes using methodologies such as 8D. The incumbent also manages timesheets, HR requests, staff holiday bookings, training arrangements, and documentation control for QA inspections, HSE folders, and internal specifications. Meeting minutes, permits for contractors, and internal non‑conformance records are also processed to ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
Applicants should possess solid knowledge of health and safety and environmental regulations, as well as an understanding of internal and external product specifications. The role requires self‑motivation, independent decision‑making, reliability, trustworthiness, and the ability to communicate effectively at all organisational levels. Familiarity with company policies, including the Drivers handbook and Substance Misuse Policy, is essential.
The position offers a contributory pension matched up to 8%, life assurance, enhanced maternity and paternity pay, and a Save‑as‑You‑Earn Sharesave scheme. Additional benefits include a cycle‑to‑work scheme, free flu vouchers, health and wellbeing programs such as on‑site occupational health, physiotherapy and counselling, a staff discount on Genuit Group products, and free on‑site parking. Working hours align with standard office schedules and the role supports a collaborative, safety‑focused environment.
