The North America Regional Purchasing Manager supports, aligns, and coordinates procurement activities across the region to achieve optimal cost, quality, delivery, and supplier performance in line with Carel Group strategies. This role promotes synergy among the three organizations and collaborates with Group Headquarters to drive consistency, efficiency, and effective resource use. The manager ensures governance of purchasing policies, sourcing standards, and processes to deliver sustainable, compliant, and long‑term supply solutions that underpin operational excellence and business growth.
In this position, the manager oversees the implementation of Group purchasing policies and leads initiatives that enhance purchasing efficiency and risk mitigation. By coordinating buyer teams and fostering collaboration with operations, engineering, finance, and other key functions, the manager ensures consistent processes and best‑practice adoption throughout North America.
- Lead supplier scouting, selection, qualification, and homologation per Group policies.
- Maintain senior-level relationships with strategic suppliers.
- Support development of the annual purchasing budget for North American companies.
- Execute supply strategies based on supplier segmentation, validate sourcing rules, allocation models, and supply shares.
- Lead or support negotiations on pricing, delivery terms, lead times, and contracts with existing suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance against quality, delivery, and service KPIs; implement corrective actions.
- Manage supplier escalations and conflicts, ensuring structured resolution.
- Lead sourcing improvement projects and cost‑reduction initiatives regionally.
- Promote purchasing synergies with other Group teams to optimize cost, quality, and risk.
- Oversee purchasing operations and coordinate buyer teams across the three companies.
- Prepare and submit regular reports to HQ on sourcing KPIs, performance trends, and project progress.
- Collaborate with Operations, Plant Managers, Planning, Logistics, Engineering, Quality, R&D, and Finance.
- Interface with Group HQ operations teams and the supplier network.
- Coordinate buyer teams across the North American region.
- Adhere to policies, complete administrative tasks accurately and timely.
- Project management across multiple locations; manage multiple projects within budget and schedule.

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field and have at least six years of strategic sourcing or purchasing experience in complex, multinational environments. Strong verbal and written communication skills, proficiency with MRP (Oracle preferred), Excel and Word, and the ability to influence stakeholders are essential. Additional knowledge of electronics/electromechanics markets, analytical capabilities, and project management expertise are highly valued.
The role requires regular sitting and communication, occasional standing, walking, and lifting of up to 25 lb, as well as specific visual focus abilities. Domestic and international travel is expected, and the work environment includes office, manufacturing, and warehouse settings with exposure to moving equipment and moderate noise levels, with accommodations provided as needed.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills; fluent in English.
- Knowledge of electronics/electromechanics supply markets (plus).

- Analytical skills: market trends, pricing, lead‑time and cost reduction.
- Proven negotiation experience with domestic and international suppliers.
- Ability to resolve conflicts and handle complaints effectively.
- Strategic thinking to develop organizational strategies.
- Decision‑making using logical reasoning and emotional intelligence.
- Attention to detail in reviewing procurement documents.
- Advanced mathematics, algebra, and basic statistics.
- Related manufacturing or HVAC certifications (plus).
