Senior Manager, Projects, Group Development Management (Based in Pune, India)

Description

The role works with Asset Managers to lead all aspects of development, overseeing both new developments and existing assets across commercial, retail, residential, industrial and logistics sectors. The position is responsible for managing development activities from concept through delivery.

• Conceptualise design requirements and create briefs aligned with company strategy.
• Manage development of design concepts and options.
• Oversee design consultants, obtain authority approvals, and handle tender, award, construction, and contract administration processes.
• Lead the development process from inception to completion.
• Engage service providers in accordance with procurement procedures and policies.
• Ensure projects are completed within budget, schedule, quality standards, and regulatory and governance requirements.
• Provide regular, accurate reporting on project issues and status.
• Lead, mentor, and coach a small team.
• Continuously improve design and processes by challenging the status quo and applying value engineering.

Requirements

Successful candidates will hold a relevant engineering, architecture or project management degree and possess at least ten years of experience delivering multi‑sector development projects. They must demonstrate leadership, independence, cultural sensitivity and a commitment to continuous improvement.

• Hold a degree in civil/structural/mechanical/electrical engineering, quantity surveying, architecture, project management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in development or project management of commercial, retail, residential, industrial, or logistics projects.
• Demonstrate high independence, initiative, accountability, cultural sensitivity, endurance, adaptability, strong leadership, and teamwork.
