Controls Technician (Service & Projects)
Emcor Services Aircond
Designs and delivers commercial HVAC, building automation, and facilities energy‑saving solutions in the Southeast.
Install, program, and service building automation systems for commercial/industrial HVAC.
Conduct "point-to-point" checkouts and terminate low-voltage connections.
Perform installation, programming, integration, and repair of building management systems (BMS), including service, planned maintenance, and retrofits.
Load programs in field controllers and run BACnet MS/TP and BACnet IP communication networks.
Inform sales and management of qualified leads for new construction, service, maintenance, and retrofit opportunities.
Complete all required company documentation and reporting in a timely manner.
Contribute to retrofit projects, involving the replacement of old control systems with new, non-proprietary solutions.
Efficiently manage time and productivity by planning, scheduling, and communicating all work assignments.
Maintain and repair low-voltage wiring, equipment, and devices.
Establish and maintain positive working relationships with all customers and company employees, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to controls, networks, field devices, and integrated systems.
Perform routine and complex service calls to diagnose and repair issues with building management systems.
Support third-party equipment integrations.
Execute planned maintenance activities on a scheduled basis to ensure optimal system performance and customer satisfaction.
Lead or assist in the installation and commissioning of new building automation systems on project sites, working closely with project managers and other technicians to ensure timely and successful completion.

Tridium AX or N4 Certification highly preferred but not required.
Strong understanding of commercial/industrial HVAC fundamentals, mechanical equipment (CHW, HW, AHU, VAV, CV-PKG), and controls systems.
Ability to read and understand control and mechanical drawings.
Working knowledge of BACnet systems and experience with Distech Controls, Tridium Niagara, and Schneider Electric controls.
Proficiency in electrical fundamentals and using a digital multi-meter.
Excellent rapport-building skills to foster a positive experience for customers and colleagues.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in high-pressure situations.
High sense of urgency, keen attention to detail, and a collaborative, team-oriented nature.
Proficiency in interpreting HVAC mechanical plans and specifications as they relate to Direct Digital Controls.
A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in the building automation or HVAC controls industry, with a demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to new technology.
Valid Driver’s License required.
