As the Fire Officer, you’ll take ownership of fire safety compliance across our properties, working closely with the Health & Safety team, regional property managers, and contractors. You’ll be responsible for ensuring our buildings meet all statutory requirements and that proactive fire safety measures are in place and effectively managed.

  • Advise on design, construction, and maintenance matters relating to fire safety.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain fire safety policies, procedures, and records.
  • Conduct and review fire risk assessments across the property portfolio.
  • Coordinate remedial works and ensure timely completion by contractors.
  • Support the wider compliance and property management team with audits and inspections.
  • Deliver training and guidance to site teams and contractors on fire safety awareness.
  • Liaise with fire authorities, building control, and other regulatory bodies.

  • Fire Risk Assessor qualification (or equivalent) highly desirable.
  • Confident working both independently and as part of a wider operational team.
  • Proven experience in a fire safety, compliance, or health & safety role (property or housing background desirable).
  • Strong knowledge of UK fire safety legislation and relevant British Standards.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to influence and advise.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally to sites.
