- Verify the quality of design team output.
- Assess buildability, manufacturability, and integration with Lead Design Engineer and Design Managers.
- Resolve technical design conflicts.
- Ensure communication between sub-system groups.
- Assist in establishing design completion dates.
- Design highly complex components and simple sub-systems.
- Follow corporate standards and policies.
- Mentor and coach other designers.
- Advise first-line supervisors of project status, timing, resource availability, and capability.
- Lead design reviews.
- Provide technical design leadership for major sub-systems.

- Engineering or Technical Degree.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills for leading meetings and virtual events.
- Automotive industry experience.
- Leadership and mentoring skills necessary to support and provide constructive performance feedback to designers.
- Familiarity with email communication tools.
- Experience with Plastics and Metal Stampings.
- Experience with Evaluation Tools such as Pre/Post, Topology Optimize, and Mold Flow.
- Proficiency in NX, with at least 3 years of experience in NX Design.
- Ability to work independently with moderate direction from management.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective cross-functional and cross-cultural collaboration.
- Knowledge in engineering/design commodity group and global safety standards and SAE guidelines.
- Understanding of part validation, topology optimization, and Mold Flow.
- Teamwork skills, with the ability to work well with others.
- Advanced knowledge of CAD, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles, part tolerancing, and math data management skills with 9+ years of experience.
