The Plastic Manufacturing Technician is responsible for packaging, labeling, and visual quality inspection of all products on their production line. They also assist line operators with start‑ups, shutdowns, and tooling changeovers, working closely to meet established production goals. This role requires flexibility to work 40+ hours per week, including weekends as needed.
Key duties include embracing a safety culture, conducting final visual inspections, labeling finished goods, and tracking unit quantities to ensure efficiency. The technician follows standard operating procedures to package pipe, consistently uses personal protective equipment, and assists with equipment set‑up and tooling changes. Continuous improvement of line processes and facility housekeeping is expected, along with staying current on pipe specifications and packaging requirements. The position demands self‑motivation, independence, energy, dependability, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment. Basic mathematical skills, a team‑oriented attitude, and the capacity to quickly learn new skills are essential. Prior industrial or manufacturing experience is preferred.
Physical requirements include the ability to perform extended periods of labor in fluctuating temperatures, using the full range of body motion—twisting, bending, reaching, squatting, and mounting/dismounting equipment. The employee must stand and remain mobile throughout an 8‑12‑hour shift and handle and transport finished goods.
