The Maintenance Technician oversees and performs technical and mechanical work to ensure that buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety, and overall functionality. The role involves responding to resident service requests, completing routine upkeep, and adhering to established policies, procedures, safety standards, and code requirements.
Key duties include diagnosing and repairing defects, managing the make‑ready process for vacant apartments (pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor scheduling, and final inspections), and developing standards for the appearance of grounds, amenities, building exteriors, and interior spaces. The technician periodically inspects work performed by team members and contractors, maintains inventory of spare parts and maintenance materials, orders supplies within budget, and completes monthly preventative maintenance tasks.
The position offers an hourly rate of $30.00‑$35.00, with eligibility for performance‑based bonus programs—quarterly or annual for corporate roles and weekly, monthly, or quarterly for onsite positions. Compensation is influenced by business needs, experience, skills, and geographic location.
