Performs miscellaneous inspections, as required.
Performs basic pipefitting on meter sets (remove meter, install fuel line cut off, replace union).
Observes all safety requirements and regulatory guidelines to ensure compliance.
Coordinates and performs basic operation, maintenance, inspection and repair on all above ground valves to include grease, tighten, operate and inspect.
Identifies abnormal operating conditions and takes appropriate actions.
Performs leak investigation as required following a service activation.
Participates in the on-call rotation for off-shift emergency response.
Assists in pipe joining methods (Electro fusion and mechanical fusion).
Actively and accurately captures documentation in the Mobile Data Terminal
Conducts and documents complete investigations of customer premises in response to questionable gas consumption (e.g. high bill complaints, stopped meters, etc.) or other issues.
Interacts with customers to answer questions, explain work performed, give instructions for operation of appliances, and promote gas usage.
Performs service activation, deactivation, and leak repairs.
Responds to gas pipeline emergencies.
Performs underground leak investigation and grading to include:
Operation of heavy equipment during excavations.
Performs valve operation and maintenance.
Safely operate company assigned vehicles in performance of assignments.
Efficiently works a route to complete customer and compliance orders in a timely manner and in accordance with company policies and procedures and operator qualifications procedures.
Installs meter headers.
Shorted casing surveys
Performs meter inspections and paints as needed to maintain compliance with atmospheric corrosion.

Must have a valid state driver's license and pass DOT and Company driving tests
Must be physically able to stoop, bend, crawl, walk, climb ladders, and lift weights in excess of 100 pounds. Ability to occasionally ascend and descend stairs and ladders is required. Must also have keen senses of smell, hearing, vision and color identification. Ability to work in all types of terrain and weather conditions is required.
CDL (class A)
