Develop bill of materials, material take-offs and technical input to TIC Cost Estimates.
Prepare and evaluate technical specifications, datasheets and material requisitions for telecom systems.
Support commissioning team with system turn-up, testing and validation documentation.
Identifies gaps and builds an environment which has readily accessible knowledge and continuous learning.
Resolve engineering issues with stakeholders across client, vendor, EPC and construction contractors.
Produce engineering deliverables including design criteria and specifications, FEED-Level location layouts and cable routing plans, cabinet layouts, equipment room layouts, coverage studies and load list.
Develop basis of design, project philosophies and technology roadmaps.
Provide technical guidance to project managers, designers, drafters and junior engineers.
Lead or participate in FATs, SATs, and inspections when required.
Support talent development and contribute to building discipline capability within the organization.
Leverages and helps develop the diverse background and skills of people for the attainment of company goals.
Review vendor proposals and ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
Estimate telecom infrastructure quantities, space and power requirements and development of associated reports.
Provide technical assistance during construction and respond to RFIs.
Identify opportunities for technology optimization, standardization and cost improvements.
Participate in Risk Assessments.
Review contractor installation procedures and test plans.
Contribute to client presentations and demonstrations.
Interface with various project teams internal and external (Automation, Electrical, IT, Operations, Safety, etc.) to ensure alignment of Telecom infrastructure requirements and integration.
Identify and coordinate connectivity requirements with Automation, Electrical, IT and other networks.
Develop FEED Reports.
Lead the development of IFC drawing packages including device location and cable routing layouts, schematics, termination diagrams, system wiring diagrams, cabinet details, floor plans, installation details, cable schedules, EWPs, CWPs, Vendor scope of work and material requisitions, etc.
Review vendor documents and coordinate the development of vendor packages.
Participate in communities of practice and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Perform technical bid evaluations.
Support proposals and bids by preparing technical writeups, execution strategies, engineering estimates and risk assessments.
Ensure constructability, maintainability and operability in all deliverables.
Plans and executes projects through teamwork with other departments and with outside organizations.
Define high-level architecture/topologies, block diagrams and physical infrastructure requirements.

Recognized Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical, Electronics or related field from an accredited College or University.
Fluent in English (read, write and speak).
Experience in various phases of vendor and technology selection.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Exposure to OT Networks, industrial networking, and integration with Automation systems.
Experience in Offshore Oil & Gas and other industrial operations: Mining, Oil & Gas, Power and Chemical industries.
Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
Experience in equipment installation requirements.
Familiarity with EPC/EPCM project delivery environments.
Experience in inspection and testing of equipment (FAT, SAT and system walk-downs).
Experience with various telecommunications systems and networking products.
PMP Certification or other forms of demonstrating project management training will be considered an asset.
Field Experience in deployment and/ or operations of telecommunication Systems.
Experienced in conceptual, basic and detailed engineering and implementation of high-availability telecom system architectures in offshore and industrial environments.
Knowledgeable in UIT-T, UIT-R, TIA, IEEE, ISO/IEC, IMO, SOLAS, API, NFPA and CSA standards.
Must have or be eligible to obtain P.E. (U.S.) or a P.Eng. (Canada) license.
Field Experience in the commissioning of telecommunication Systems.
Expert in Offshore Telecommunication Systems design and implementation.
