The Janitor role is focused on keeping the workplace clean, organized, and disinfected. Employees are expected to perform a range of cleaning tasks, maintain inventory, and follow safety protocols while supporting a high‑level of customer satisfaction.
Work duties include cleaning interior surfaces such as floors, carpets, windows, walls, and furniture across offices, hallways, lobbies, elevators, and locker rooms. The position also requires disinfecting high‑touch items, maintaining restrooms and supplies, emptying trash and recycling, and removing debris or snow from exterior walkways.
Janitors must keep a cleaning chart, report unsafe conditions, and request missing supplies from supervisors. Lifting up to 50 pounds, closing doors at night, and adhering to all safety and precaution rules are mandatory.
Success in this role depends on reliable attendance, punctuality, dependability, and strict observance of safety and security procedures. Employees are expected to follow directions, take responsibility for their actions, and communicate alternative plans when tasks cannot be completed as scheduled.
