The Special Projects Business Unit was created to address fire‑safety defects in buildings over 11 metres built by the Group in the past three decades, ensuring they meet safe standards for leaseholders and residents.
Key duties involve working closely with Development and Construction teams, participating in design and contract meetings, scrutinising contract drawings for cost risks, preparing tender packages and procurement trackers, analysing quotations, and establishing construction budgets and payment schedules. The role also includes managing subcontractor orders, negotiating variations, processing payments, reconciling costs, producing monthly cost analyses, and supporting post‑completion defect handling.
Candidates are expected to align with Vistry’s values of integrity, caring and quality, possess a relevant HNC/HND or comparable experience, and demonstrate strong analytical, communication and mathematical abilities. Experience with major facilities‑management or high‑rise cladding contractors, proficiency in COINS, and a methodical, detail‑oriented approach are essential, while knowledge of the Building Safety Act is advantageous.
Vistry promotes a collaborative in‑person culture alongside flexible working options, encouraging candidates to discuss any specific needs during the interview process.
The position offers a competitive salary package with annual bonus, a range of vehicle and travel allowances, generous holiday entitlement that can increase with service, and additional benefits such as private medical cover, enhanced family leave, pension contributions, life assurance, share schemes and access to an employee rewards portal.
