Assist in the preparation of the quarterly and year-end tax provision, including computation of book-to-tax differences, and state calculations.
Contribute to tax planning projects, special assignments and tax policies.
Research federal and state tax issues and prepare responses to tax notices from various taxing jurisdictions.
Assist with tax compliance and planning processes, including preparing workpapers and reviewing tax forms prepared by external service providers.
Assist with managing and preparing property and sales tax filings and maintaining the tax calendar. Regularly coordinate with local divisions and external service providers to ensure efficient and timely filings.
Assist in maintaining effective controls over tax-related procedures
Build relationships with key members of the Corporate Office (Accounting, Treasury, Legal) and local divisions.
Assist with tax-related data research and advisory on new legislation or transactions.
Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements, streamlining procedures, and maintaining tax data records to enhance efficiency.
