- Ensure projects are constructed in strict accordance with contract documents and specifications.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation to demonstrate compliance with:
- Provide timely and articulate communication between necessary parties that furthers the project and helps meet client’s goals.
- Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including VDOT staff, local government agencies, consultants and the public.
- Responsible for the direct and personal supervision of engineering activities during construction.
- Prepare project correspondence and progress reports for client approval and support project meetings.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field is required.
- Professional Engineer’s license is required, preferably in VA. Will consider other states with the commitment of obtaining a Virginia PE within 6 months of starting employment
- Familiarity with AASHTO, VDOT and regional design standards, practices and policies
- Excellent oral, written, communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications, such as Microsoft Office suite and construction management software.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in transportation construction projects, preferably in VA.
