Performs most assignments with instructions as to general results expected, exercises sound judgment to resolve problems, but may receive technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and solicits the approval of the department manager or project engineer for proposed design solutions.
May supervise and coordinate the work of less experienced engineers and designers and be responsible for checking a portion or all of the drawings completed on the project within the discipline.
Works with the client and internal resources to develop project scopes schedules and budgets.
Performs detailed phases of engineering work on major projects or total engineering work on projects of smaller or moderate scope.
Leads and orchestrates projects by exercising sound judgment in independently assessing, selecting, and creatively adapting standard methodologies tailored for our valued food and beverage industry clients.

Prior consulting experience in the pharmaceutical industry and/or food industry, and experience in sanitary design required.

PE or PE-tracked strongly preferred, ten (10) or more years of related practical experience with former employer(s) required.
A minimum of 8 years of experience designing HVAC and mechanical utility systems, along with a solid background in sanitary production environments, is ideal.
A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, qualifying for licensure in your state, is essential for this position.
