Multi-Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias)

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across electrical and mechanical systems.
• Monitor plant performance and take corrective action as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Liaise with contractors and suppliers when necessary.
• Promote a safe and compliant working environment.
• Ensure all maintenance work meets statutory and technical compliance standards.
• Work in a technically advanced data centre environment.
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs to ensure system reliability and uptime.
• Support minor system upgrades and installations.

We are seeking a qualified and motivated Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join our engineering team at a flagship data centre in Peterborough. This role plays a key part in maintaining the critical infrastructure that supports 24/7 operations.

Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer (Electrical Bias)

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong fault-finding and decision-making skills.
• Up-to-date electrical certifications (e.g. BS 7671).
• Knowledge of HVAC and mechanical systems is advantageous.
• Strong background in both electrical and mechanical maintenance (electrical bias).
• Experience in critical environments (e.g. data centres, hospitals, commercial buildings).
• Familiar with Permit to Work systems and safe systems of work.
