Gilbane is looking for a Senior Project Manager to serve as the on‑site manager responsible for overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of large or complex construction projects, or multiple smaller ones. The role is primarily based on the job site with occasional travel for training and meetings.
- Develop the project safety plan with corporate safety and provide jobsite leadership.
- Create project controls and procedures to manage complex requirements and mitigate high‑risk items.
- Manage project financial forecast, notice provisions, and billings; take corrective actions for deviations.
- Create and manage a project‑specific quality plan aligned with the owner contract and assist with execution.
- Create and manage a project closeout plan aligned with contract documents and assist with execution.
- Provide leadership to motivate the project team, maintain a positive work environment, and supervise staff and engineers.
- Develop the subcontracting strategy; write scopes and deliverables to ensure buyout integrity.
- Implement and enforce contracts; lead risk mitigation plans; prepare draft contracts, agreements, and purchase orders.
- Oversee insurance and bond enrollment and manage compliance for trade contractors.
- Lead the development of the project estimate and manage the estimating team to meet contractual obligations.
- Lead constructability and coordination reviews.
- Create CPM schedules for large or complex projects; identify potential impacts and draft mitigation plans.
- Develop a basic understanding of local market areas and lead a networking strategy.
- Collaborate with business development to align sales strategies and strengthen client and partner relationships.
- Responsible for career development and coaching of team members.
- Foster an inclusive work environment to motivate and engage team members.
- Interpret and translate organizational strategy, ensuring team understanding of strategic goals.

- Proficiency with industry‑standard software and Microsoft Office (preferred).
